Quality English leather Grackle with stainless steel fittings. This Grackle has a fluffy sheepskin centre pad but can be trimmed if desired. Illustrated here with a trimmed pad.

Also known as the figure of eight takes its name from the winner of the 1931 Grand National. The Grackle should be fitted snugly so that the top strap goes around the horses jaws above the bit, resting just below the facial bone, while the lower strap passes below the bit, keeping the mouth closed. The Grackle puts pressure on the horses nose, where the straps cross, and helps prevent the horse from crossing his jaws.
