Its straight mouthpiece with a gentle port, is thin enough to allow plenty of room for the tongue and has a neat ring. The magic bit often encourages the pony to relax and accept the contact far more than a jointed bit and has gained popularity as often more control is achieved when using it as the pony is more comfortable in his mouth.
